PlaYce Yaoundé takes part in World Cleanup Day, 2024 edition
Another one! Another great stroll through Yaoundé, on the hunt for plastic waste. This Saturday, September 21, at first light, the volunteer plastic waste hunters gathered in the city's populous corners, where piles of plastic waste are a common feature of the general sanitation situation.
Departing from the main roads to the drains, the descent into the residential areas took place in conditions favorable to the cleaning activity. Thousands of plastic bottles were collected, and will now be sent for recycling.
The 2024 edition was the year of the PlaYce shopping center's3rd participation in this global initiative, since its opening in 2022. The innovation was to make local residents aware of the dangers of plastic pollution.
Together with the Carrefour and JULES banners, supported by the CFAO Consumer group, and voluntary associations, PlaYce Yaoundé has once again demonstrated its social commitment to the people of Yaoundé.
